Not willing to incur her Aunt's wrath, Emma decided to leave. She was a little leery about having her backside to her Aunt so she started to slowly back out of the kitchen.

Maude laughed with a hint of wickedness, "I won't spank someone who's doing as I said. Go, you're safe."

She shooed Emma out of the kitchen with a wag of the wielded wooden spoon.

Emma obeyed and left in a hurry, anxious to be away from her Aunt. Now that she was in the clear she needed to figure out just where she was off to.
