"I understand that your tournament is coming up. May I ask what you're offering?" Shiro asked calmly, folding her arms under her hefty breasts.

"Oh, the finest in combat entertainment, ma'am! Armed and unarmed. Skill with a sword, fist, axe, bow..." the perky clerk replied eagerly, but Shiro waved a hand at her.

"I meant the reward. The prize for winning the contests."

"Oh! That! Yes, well we have an exotic jewel for the winner of the martial arts tournament. It was last reported by the marketplace to be worth over three million gold. It's been suspected to have mystical powers as well, but we haven't been able to verify that. For the weapons tournament, the prize is a recently uncovered ancestral blade of a local lord. He decided that the strongest fighter in the land should be the one to wield it, since he is rather old and feeble himself by now. It is said to have slain a hundred demons in one year."

Shiro raised her eyebrows with interest. They both did sound tempting; that much money would get her a lot of time to relax to herself, and a lot of warm bodies for company. Then again, there was always her big goal to pursue... but the sword. It sounded absolutely legendary, and her trusty old katana would only last for so long before it was lost or broken, no matter what care she put into it.
