Deep in her lab, Laura carefully studied her notes for the fifteenth time. She was nothing if not careful, and an experiment like this required the utmost caution.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Will asked.

Laura briefly looked up from her notes, pushing her glasses up her nose. "That's why I checking the procedure again, Will. We can't afford for the slightest mistake to happen, or the results could be catastrophic."

Wil put up his hands in defense. "Hey, I know! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to criticize you! I'm just a little..."

Laura crossed over to her assistant. He looked very different to her: dressed in a polo shirt, jeans, and gym shoes. It was a stark contrast to her professional lab coat, green dress, long pants, and boots.

She gave her worried assistant a hug. "I know, Will. I'm nervous too. But just relax. This experiment will go off perfectly. I couldn't have done it without you."

Will smiled and hugged her back, trying not to get lost in her perfume. He had developed the biggest crush on her since he started an internship with her lab company. But there was no way he would risk his job by telling her that.

Laura went back to her notes and re-read the final page. Once she was done, she excitedly jumped for joy. "Okay! Everything is set! We are ready for testing!"
