Larry's Comics

After leaving the dormitory building, Rachel asked Nate "So, where are we going?"

"I'm heading over to Larry's," he said.

"Who's Larry?" she asked.

"Not who. What. It's a comic book store off campus. I like to go there and hang out. I have some friends ..."

"Wait, I don't think we should leave the campus," Rachel said. She wanted to keep all the reality changes within the boundaries of the school, because she wanted the college to change, not people outside the college (though, that may happen anyway, as a secondary effect, as it did with Ling's parents).

"Oh, it's not too far off campus, just a couple of streets over. We'll be back in time for whatever you have planned to do," he said, misunderstanding her statement.

Rachel was going to protest again, but stopped when she saw some of the first changes happening to him. His hair seemed to be changing color, maybe getting darker? Yeah, it looked like his hair was turning black. She hoped that wasn't the extent of his changes. Pretty lame if it was.

They walked in silence for about ten minutes - Nate, because he didn't really know Rachel well enough to know what to talk about, and Rachel, because she was watching him intently, looking for any changes he might be going through.

It wasn't until they arrived to the comic book store, though, that she started to notice some more obvious changes to him.
