Chapter 7
by Somerled
What form shall I assume?
Large muscular man
Daemons do not have genders like mortals; in the mortal realm it is simply a matter of choice. I tended to prefer the solidity of being a man, so I assumed such a form. There was a flash of light as I brought the image of my new form into my mind and made it reality. There was some pain as I shrunk and changed, but quickly passed. Within a moment I stood, firmly planted on two human feet, before my summoner.
I was now a 6'3" man with a muscular body and very masculine face. I was certainly tall for a mortal, but not impossibly so. I flexed my muscled, cracked my neck and then smiled. Yes, this form would suit me fine.
"How is this?" I asked Somerled.
"Intimidating, daemon. That should be fine."
I could see some envy in his eyes as he looked over my perfectly formed body. He was not the usual wimpish wizard, but I suppose being in the presence of a god made mortal would have that effect on anyone.
"What do you want of me then?"
"Well, Aristaeus, well. First I would like you to put on some clothes," he gestured to an open chest by the wall, "and then we shall see."
I walked over and picked out some clothes. I thought they might be too small, but there was a good selection. Fashion had indeed changed from what I remembered last time. It was more formal, more refined. I dressed myself in what I thought a good ensemble of pants, shirt, jacket and boots. He nodded.
"We now go outside. I have work for you."
He picked up the crystal to which my akasha was bound, put it in his pocket, and then walked up the stairs out of the dark chamber. I had **** but to follow. I was curious to see where we were and what he had in mind for me to do.
What is his first request?
