Kurri Kurri

You mounted your loyal giant Emu, Dodo. With a quick snap of the reigns she dashed towards the village of Kurri Kurri. Dodo was a trusty companion, swift and loyal. Mighty as a velociraptor, but as friendly as a parrot DoDo sped towards Kurri Kurri her black feathers turning to a blur as she went. The weather was always beautiful in the morning and you enjoyed the feeling of the wind in your hair. The flourishing forest was filled to the brim with the souns of nature. Water crashing, trees swaying, and the cacophony of fauna. Life in this Lonely Forest was rough, but it did have its upsides.

Finally you arrived at the tiny village of Kurri Kurri spotting a woman standing outside of it in the cool morning sun. The walls protecting the village that this small little settlement had big dreams, but the worrisome look of the motherly woman indicated that troubling times had struck. I dismounted Dodo and approached the woman. At first she seemed concerened as she met my eyes.

“A-Are you the hero that offered to help us?” she inquired looking concerned at my appearance and a bit disappointed at how young I was. Perhaps she was expecting someone older more experienced. Not an uncommon reaction. You may have dressed for the job but you still didn’t quite look the part.

You gave her a friendly smile and answered her as professionally as you could remembering your training, “Yes ma’am from your description it seems like the bandits stopping and **** traders are goblins. If I had to guess they’re nomadic and taking advantage of the new unprotected roads to this village.” I calmly explained trying to reassure her that the village was in good hands.

Pleasantly suprised by your refreshingly competent response her worrisome demeanor seemed to relax a good deal. “Oh I’m so sorry. I- thought and and you looked so young..” she stammered giggling nervously.

“It’s quite alright. If you could point me in the diresction of the last trader’s dissappearance I can begin my investigation ” you smile again coaxing her to relax.

“Thank you so much hero!” The woman exclaimed brightly sending a surge of pride through your body. She pointed to a pathway adjacent to the one you had traveled. “Take that path east. About 3 and a half miles east is where the last trader from Roogdan went missing. Some say there was a cave nearby.”

I bowed, “Thank you madam.” before mounting DoDo again and setting off East.
