Keep the queen, jack, and ten

You keep the higher straight cards. It’s harder to draw to a straight, but your most likely hand is getting a pair, so having the higher cards will give you a better hand. Lin says she’ll take two cards and then deals out everyone’s replacements.

Your hopes are rewarded as you see a seven and jack dealt to you. Your confidence grows more when you hear Claire say, “I’ve got a pair of nines.”

“My jacks are better,” you say, showing your hand. Lin has a smug smile on her face as she turns over three twos.

“Join the crowd,” you tell Claire.

“You’ll be waiting quite a while to see me topless,” Claire says, “but I can show you this much.” Claire unbuttons her blouse and opens it to reveal a pink flower lace bra that barely contains her breasts. You can see them jiggle with each movement Claire makes as she dumps her blouse in a pile beside her. Claire notices the attention you’ve giving them and she pushes them forward to give you a better view.

“Okay, enough staring,” Claire says as she gathers the cards in for the next hand.
