Kayla gives him space

Kayla looked at her boyfriend as he huddled on their bed facing the wall. She'd never seen him looking quite like this - so afraid, so ****. As much as she felt in the mood for intimacy she recognised that Stuart needed his space.

Silently she got undressed before putting on her favourite silk nightie. No harm in being prepared in case they woke up early and decided to have some fun before Stuart went to work.

She climbed in to bed next to him. "If you do want to talk I'm always here for you" she told him before kissing him on the shoulder.

This at least got some reaction from Stuart as he turned round to face Kayla. "Thank you, I'm just a little shaken up and need to sort things out in my head" he replied. He was deliberately playing down the situation though - he'd been a bag of nerves since he'd found out Jason was living next door to them, and his worst fears had been realised when he'd gone down to confront him.

He kissed Kayla on the lips before turning to face the wall again. Knowing that there was nothing else she could do for him Kayla closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
