Katie, Sarah, and Christa explain the plan

"...with a small twist," Katie said after a small pause.

Ashley, Melissa, and James were looking at Katie as Sarah helped Christa with bag. Christa unzipped the bag and tossed everyone a small lockbox, about the size of a tissue box, with a letter on the top. Ashley's had a red "A" on hers, Christa's had an orange "C", James' box had a yellow "J", Katie's had a green "K", Melissa's box had a blue "M", and finally Sarah's box had a purple "S" on it. A key was already inside the lockbox, but they were all shut.

"Open them up," Sarah said as she opened hers. Insides were a couple dozen little charms that matched the letter on the from of the box and two braided cords. "The cords are a necklace that can also be worn as a charm bracelet, and the little charms are going to be the main part of our game.

"Right now, give 3 of your charms to everyone else," Christa said as she began by trading with Katie, "these are your tokens. Each one represents a single dare you owe, and when you are presented with one of your own charms, the person can give you any dare and you must do it."

"Except," Katie said picking up where Christa left off as if they had practiced this speech a few times, "you can't make anyone do anything immoral or illegal. You also cannot demand they perform sexual acts on you or anyone else, you can request it but they are free to decline the dare, but you get to keep the charm if they do."

"And," Sarah added on, "you can't use a dare make them give you any of their possessions."

"If they are careless enough to leave something important open for anyone..." Christa hinted at with a playful smile, "that is an entirely different story. So keep your key and bracelets close and your box locked up. No taking things off someone asleep, it last to be left unattended to be fair game."

Christa, Sarah, and Katie were pretty certain that no one would break the rules, but they just wanted to keep their vacation fun for everyone. "And lastly, you may have noticed that you have a lot of extra charms," Katie continued, "if you want to give someone a dare but lack one of their charms, you can offer one of your own charms instead, but they are not obligated to accept it."

"Sounds like a fun idea," Ashley said with a smile wrapping the cords around her waist by combining them, and it was just long enough to work without being tight, "sweet, it fits!"

"Thanks," Melissa chimed in happily, "my boyfriend said he didn't mind me being with girls, but he would prefer I not do anything with any guys but him." She looked at James with a slightly nervous expression.

"No problem," James said sounding unfazed, "everyone else is single, so I don't mind letting you stay on your boyfriend's good side." Melissa smiled more warmly at him.

The dare game was set, and the score was tied.
