Kamini: Accepting His Challenge

My husband dared me to walk on a street in my lingerie. He didn't think I would do it and he would use that excuse to go with his friends on a bachelors' trip. "Living with you is not exciting anymore. I need to recharge. I need to go." he said. This was a conversation we were having at a restaurant while we celebrated our second anniversary. He was trying everything he could to get my permission. I said nothing. On our way back I stopped the cab a block away from our building. I suggested that we cover the remaining distance on foot.

He was talking about what all they are planning for the trip. He was excited and I quietly listened. Unbeknownst to him I unbuttoned my dress, slipped out of it and kept walk. For a minute he didn't notice. Then he did! Shocked, surprised, excited but then embarrassed he ran back and brought my dress to put it on. I refused and continued to walk.

"You challenged me!"

A few steps towards our building and four different men from adjacent building came running to me with towel to cover my body. I smiled at all of them, thanked them as my husband shooed them away. Since that night my husband has never gone on a trip without me.
