Kamala faces the Nine trails

Kamala grew up on tales of the legendary warrior Hercolos. Hercolos was a legend, the greatest warrior to ever live. Proving this, he had faced the nine trails, which no one since had accomplished.

That was, no one until Kamala. She was confident she could succeeded, where all others for the last hundred years had failed. She would face the trials, and bring acclaim to her people. She had trained her whole life for this!

So, she traveled to the tower of Hercolos. This was where they kept all records of the hero, and allowed the hopeful to attemp the trails once a year, on this very day.

Kamala entered the tower, spear in hand. It was dark, and on nine raised podiums sat nine aged monks.

"You seek to try the trails?" Asked one monk.

"I do." Kamala said, taking a knee respectfully.

"Even at risk of life and limb?" The second asked.

"I understand." Kamala said.

"There are rules." The third old monk said. "You may have no help."

"Next, you can bring nothing with you." Said the forth monk.

"Once the trials start, there is no stopping them until you complete every trial or perish." Said the fifth monk.

"Do you understand?" Asked the sixth monk.

"I do." Kamala said.

"Then, walk through the door beyond us." Said the seventh monk. Kamala rose, and grasping her spear, began walking towards the door.

"Hold." Said the eighth monk. "You can bring nothing with you."

"You mean... should I leave my spear?" Kamala asked, confused.

"You can bring nothing." The ninth monk said. "No weapons, no armor, no clothes."

Kamala stood, not understanding for a long moment.

"Wait, I have to do the trails... naked!?" She asked.
