“I’m Jules. So are you the new mail intern?”

“Yes. How did you know?”

“Lucky guess, and you’re carrying mail.”

You laugh. “Emily made it seem like you were some evil bitch.”

She laughs. “So she’s still down there. If you want a better mentor than her, I’d love to help you. My office is right here.”

You follow her in.

“So what was with the guy on the elevator?”

“You saw that? I suppose I should be a bit more discrete. He’s hot. I’ve been trying to get his attention for weeks now.”

You laugh. “I think you have it.”

She giggles. “Yah. So you want to get promoted here?”

“Of course!”

“A great way is to find something in common with the higher ups. My bosses, boss has kind of a weird religion.”

“I’m not sure I’m up for changing religions just to get promoted.”

“You don’t need to. You can just fake it.”

“What religion?”

“She’s a demon worshipper.”

“Seriously?”

“Yes. I can teach you some of the basic prayers. They’re having a little gathering after work tonight.”

You consider it. A couple quick prayers and a big salary gain...it isn’t like you’re giving up on god.
