Joy tries-- and fails!-- to keep her cool in public.

Joy shivered a little, still very confused at what was producing the sensation in her underpants. She sidled off to the side of the hall and closed her eyes, running over the list of props that she had on her. Would any of them be the source of this oh-so-strange feeling? No, that didn't make sense. There were plenty of things on her costume and in her bag that vibrated, but this was definitely insertion that she was feeling.

Her knees quivered a little. Joy grit her teeth and stood up straight, forcing her legs together so that no one would suspect exactly what was going on between her legs at the moment. Compared to Lynn, no-one really paid Joy much attention, but it still wouldn't do for some random con-goer to snap a picture of her in this... state.

But what state was that, exactly? She didn't understand. The closest thing she could compare this feeling to was that... device that she had hidden in the back closet of her bedroom. The one that she sat on when she was alone, the best way she had come up with to imitate, you know, that. However unlike that gadget of hers, she wasn't in her bedroom, and she hadn't pushed any button.

Suddenly the sensation intensified again, and Joy had to **** her mouth to stay closed or else yell out again. The thing-- whatever it was-- was moving again, writhing and curling like a piece of grass in a strong wind. Fuck, but it felt good. If Joy didn't know better she would have assumed some creep was groping her. That would have been something else entirely, something gross and invasive. Well, it's not that this wasn't invasive. But there wasn't anyone anywhere near Joy right now, and it felt so goddamned good. She just couldn't take much more of this.

Not far from where Joy was standing, Mari found herself pressed against a pillar with the disc in her hand. Every once in a while, she would look around the pillar and get a glance at Joy. A stranger might have assumed that Joy was under the weather, maybe suffering from the first symptoms of con plague, which tended to be physical and mental exhaustion. Mari, however, knew exactly what was afflicting her fellow cosplayer, and she couldn't believe it. The feeling inside Joy's underwear was Marigold's own fingers, thrusting and squirming around inside her.

What is wrong with you? Marigold thought to herself, even as she continued to finger her friend. You're a good girl! This isn't what you're like! But apparently it was. The person Mari had thought she was would have taken her fingers away from the disc and disposed of the device as soon as humanly possible, once she'd discovered what it was. But the person Mari really was hadn't done that at all. She had doubled down, even pushing a second finger through the strange portal in the disc. And this new person was taking a great deal of satisfaction from Joy's quivering lips, from the way her knees knocked together as she tried to keep her cool.

Marigold spread her fingers a little, and she watched as Joy's face changed again, to one of shock. Still, it didn't look like Joy was feeling bad.

Maybe that's alright then, Mari thought to herself. I'm just helping Joy feel good. Maybe there isn't anything wrong with that. Mari still felt so strange doing it. She was drawing on the 'techniques' she had taught herself in the dark, the one or two times when she had dared to lead her own hand between her legs and to make herself feel good. Apparently those techniques were working on Joy, too, because the B. B. Brigade's quartermaster was making the same kind of faces that Mari had on those rare nights alone.
