Jessica is Free

Jessica and Sally stumble out of the mansion. The sun has not risen, but the sky is starting to lighten. Dawn is around the corner.

"Come on" Sally says "we need to get you sheltered before the sun rises." Sally grabs Jessica's hand and they descend the long driveway and start walking along the road - not quite sure what they are looking for.

They come to a house along the road. "Sally, we need to stop, I need to take cover." The sun is just under the horizon, but the light is already making Jessica incredibly uncomfortable. "Let's try this house."

They go into the backyard and and try the back door. It is luckily unlocked. They enter the house, and tiptoe around opening doors. They find a young woman sleeping nude in a bedroom. Jessica is dismayed that her first instinct was to attack and drain the sleeping woman. This might be harder than I thought Jessica thinks to herself.

Otherwise the house is empty. They eventually find the door to the basement, and go down the stairs.

Jessica checks for windows: there are none. "Back into the basement, I'm sorry Sally." Jessica jokes, trying to lighten the mood, but Sally only offers the mildest of smiles. They find an old couch and collapse. Jessica falls asleep, spooning Sally close for warmth.
