Jessica asks you to be her model

"What's wrong this time?" you asked.

"Well, I did what you told me, and I went over all the sizes for the missing model. No one can fit into those outfits." Jessica said.

"I'm sorry, baby." you said, expecting the waterworks to start again, but oddly, they didn't.

"But I was talking with Ellie, the stylist, she's good at gauging sizes from just a look, and there's someone here who can fit the bill." Jessica continued.

"That's great!" you exclaimed. "So everything's settled?"

"Not quite..." Jessica got really quiet.

Suddenly, it clicked. The shifty quietness, why she's over explaining everything, you knew Jess, and you knew what was up. And you didn't much like it.

"Oh no..." you started. "You don't mean..."

"I can pay you for the day if that sweetens the pot?" Jessica asked.

"Honey, you know I love you, and I'd do anything! But... I'm not a model!" you replied. "I'd just ruin the show!"

"It's not that hard to just teach someone to walk down the runway for a few hours." Jessica said, mimicking your earlier comment.

"I meant someone who already knows how to walk in heels!" you insisted.

"Please!" Jessica begged, grabbing your hand.

You weighed the options, on the one hand, this was something you weren't enthused about, in-fact the entire idea made you nervous. Sure, there's the hit to your masculinity, but you were more worried about your lack of style or grace that might endanger the show. But if Jessica truly needed you... it was your duty to help.

After some thought, you knew exactly what to do.
