It Never Hurts to Help

"Tina!" Alex said in a frantic voice, his face drained of colour, "It's not what it looks like!"

"And what, husband of mine," Tina responded, raising one eyebrow, "is it supposed to look like?"

Shaking her head at her husband's outburst, Tina put her purse on an empty space of the kitchen counter and handed her coat to Jeffery. Sure, Jeffery had been putting his body on display for Alex when Tina entered, giving a show of his cleavage, shaking his behind at Tina's husband, but that was nothing new. It wasn't as if Jeffery had just moved in, he'd been living with Tina and Alex for years! Tina was more than familiar with Jeffery's hijinx, his fun ways of keeping his interactions with the family upbeat. If Alex was going to start taking issue with it, Tina would have to have words with her husband.

"Welcome home, Tina," Jeffery said, hanging up Tina's coat on a hook by the back door, "Did you have fun at your appointment?"

Tina thought about her massage appointment. It had been glorious. All the kinks, all the knots from the years of being a mother of two were slowly being worked out. Even thought Jeffery had taken the lion's share of her responsibilities around the house, being a middle-aged woman, having worked for so long to raise two children, took its toll on a body. "Tina?" Alex, Jeffery's husband said, a look of utter shock on his face, "What happened to you?!"
