Chapter 2

What's next?
It's a long nap
Danny snapped awake, groggy, and unsure of his surroundings. It was dark outside. He glanced at the clock.
"Shit, 7:45 already? I was asleep too long." He shook himself awake, and took a swig from his beer. "What do I have tonight?" He tried to remember. He stood up, went to the kitchen, and splashed water on his face. "Right, Melon Club. New DJ. Promo shoot." He looked at the clock again. "I better get going."
He went to the side of the room that housed his various photo equipment, pulled down a bag which contained a camera some storage media, extra batteries and cables. He swung the bag over his shoulder, and as he turned to leave the apartment, he glanced out the window.
Across the street, he saw Laundry Girl.
She wasn't doing her laundry this time, she was just sitting on her window seat, talking on the phone. Her eyes were in her room, not out to the street or across to his own building. She wore a white dress, no socks or shoes. Her knees were bent, and he could see the soft yet defined muscles of her lower legs, and the curves of her feet. He smiled. While not a foot fetishist, per se, he definitely appreciated the sexy curve of a woman's leg, feet, and toes.
Laundry Girl had wonderful legs and feet. Perhaps she was an athlete? Probably a runner. While she talked on the phone, she laughed and smiled. She rocked back and forth a bit, sometimes hugging her own legs with her free arm. Her toes wiggled with the motions. At one point, she sat up straight, her eyes wide open, and Danny thought he saw her mouth the words, "what the fuck did he do that for?"
Danny laughed, curious what the story might be. He looked at his watch. "Shit. I'm late." With that, he turned away from the window, and left the apartment.
