Introduction 2

And now, here I am.

The "Welcome back" party for all the students. As if everyone needed a giant hang over the next day, just when the teachers are about to start handing us our very first exams of the semester. Originally, my plans were to simply organize my things for the next day but Janice kept assuring me that would be social suicide. Anyone who would not even bother showing to the party would be seen as outcasts. I have to wonder just how they're able to keep track of who came to the party and who didn't. Columbus University has over five thousand students after all! Still, I swallowed my pride and came here with my new friend. And I wasn't exactly thrilled of being here.

Everything is either too bright, too loud or just too crowded. The blinding flashes of red, blue and green keep me from seeing too well. The music keeps crushing my ears and nearly destroys any thoughts I may have. And the crowds are the most annoying part; I can't even see where I'm going. I'm not even too sure where Janice is- Never mind that, I think I've just lost her.

Great.

Looking around, I can see that people dressed up for the occasion. A lot of women are walking around in short skirts or shiny dresses. I simply got dressed in my tight blue jeans and white tank top. Due to the unintentional cleavage it gives out, I haven't gotten any complaints yet. I brush some of my long brown locks away from my face as I look around the room for Janice. I think I saw her curly blonde hair in the dance floor, but I could easily be mistaken.

I could either look for her, go for a drink for the first time or just go home.
