Intro Episode: Miracle Comet

The heel of Sarah's foot bounced against the ground impatiently as she did her best to feign attentiveness. She had nothing against Ms. Lawrence or physics, of course, but it was hard for a high school girl to keep her mind on scholastics in the final minutes of her final class before the weekend. It was taking all her willpower to keep her eyes forward, instead of sneaking glances to the clock at the door, which had to be getting close to-

BRRRIIIIIIIIINNNGGGG!

The students were well-behaved enough not to audibly cheer when the bell fired, but the flurry of activity and conversation certainly made it clear that Sarah wasn't the only one who had been raring to go. Ms. Lawrence shouted a few last reminders as the students finished packing up their things and heading for the door, and Sarah gave the struggling teacher an apologetic smile and wave before joining the current as it flowed into the hall beyond. The shouting and rushing was even more impressive out there, and it almost drowned out the voice of Iria, Sarah's friendly onboard demon.

"Sarah, I know you're eager to get to Tennis practice, but you should know, we have a Hellbeast popping across town in an hour or so." Sarah nodded to the demon and herself, quickly making her way to her locker.

"Shouldn't be a big issue," She decided, quickly depositing her books and retrieving her backpack. "Practice never runs too long on Friday, anyway. Besides, if I keep skipping out, people will get suspicious." Iria didn't argue with Sarah. She was always supportive of her champion's decisions, and, truthfully, encouraged the girl to be more stubborn. Iria was a demon of free will, after all, and her advice frequently boiled down to "following your heart."

Sarah reached the locker room around the same time as the other girls from the tennis team, each one clearly excited for the weekend, bouncing with energy as they changed into their practice gear or, in the case of the overly-enthusiastic Lena, into the full tennis uniform. Sarah rolled her eyes as her self-appointed rival finished donning the uniform's short skirt, before making her way down to the field with the rest of the team. The sun felt great on her skin, and she coudln't help but smile. Today was going to be a great day.
