Into the mountains

Wicked winds from the west blow out to sea. Vast emptiness meets woodlands on the edge of the mountains. The only life in the area is the trees and small wildlife that occupy these lands. Faala Mountains is a mountain range that stretches from coast to coast connecting north with the continent. Stretching many miles deep. Clouds hide the peaks giving rise to the infamy of Faala Mountain’s.

Walking into the woodlands from shelter from the winds the group continues its journey divided. Elena, James and Ada heading East covering themselves as merchants. Kato, Emmett and the three Seers head into the mountains. It was going to take at least two weeks get through with luck on their side.

Arriving at a strange metallic door with ancient runes covering the entrance to the mountains.

“Fuck, we didn’t bring a book otherwise we wou…” Emmett frustrated by the door is interrupted.

“It is our language” Shi announces to the group feeling the ancient runes with her fingers.

Kato walking slowly forward to the door asks her “I’m familiar with the Seer language, and I don’t think this is it.”

Shi turns her head “This is the first generation of Seers to inhabit this world’s language. Our race settled here a few centuries after humans had built civilized cities. We are one of the older alien species to arrive on this planet. A few are older. Emmett’s race has only been around for a couple millenniums.”

Emmett feeling an insult coming is stopped by Kato directing her eyes to him. She allows Shi to continue.

One of the other Seers speaks instead “We didn’t build the tunnels, but we had helped the species that once ruled the lands from the tyranny of humans who were hostile to them. We remained guards preventing disturbance from either side. Fractions within our race emerged Battles occurred and war tore through the world. More Alien species emerged with the first wars. Eventually the old wars left with uncertainity of who was which side. Peace was brokered. New wars emerged through the ages, but most of them were nothing compared to the brutality of the first wars.”

“Legend speaks that the Lustful device you seek was created during the first wars, but it remains unclear where it came from or who made it in the first place.” the third Seer speaks “My name is Deii and my friends are Shi and Wei” pointing out her two companions by their names. Shi being the first to speak and the second being Wei.

“While some symbols are unclear it won’t take too long to figure out this riddle” Shi speaks chanting the words of the old. All three of them have their third eyes open focusing on the door.

By nightfall Kato and Emmett were exhausted from the journey and were nearly ready to sleep. Moans of ancient gears begin to rumble back to life begin to shift the door out. Shaking the ground with enough **** to wake up the forest animals. Kato and Emmett eyes widen at the sight.

“Shall we begin?” We`i asks lighting the entrance lights. Once turned tunnel lights up begins to come to life slowly reigniting the mountains that hasn’t been used in millenniums.

“We camp for the night for now” Kato says seeing the tired eyes of everyone “Tomorrow morning we begin.”
