Where To Start?

Into The Alleyway

Better safe than sorry. Texas began to move up to the dark alleyway, before rounding the corner and seeing... nothing. The small street was dark, but open at the other end, and the weasel could see everything inside it silhouetted against the moonlight reflected off the desert sands beyond. Shaking her head a little, Texas stepped inside and walked down a distance, just to be sure, then froze as something snickered in the darkness. The weasel's hand dropped to her lasso as she suddenly heard the chitting and snickering of multiple creatures around her, and looking up, she just managed to catch a glimpse of something watching her from the rooftops before it quickly pulled away. This was a trap, and she needed to get out of here right now.

Wheeling around, Texas moved to sprint out the way she came, then stopped dead in her tracks. As she had spun around, she had come face-to-face with a white skull mask, a pair of crazed, yellow-red eyes, and a wide, jagged, toothy grin. The weasel gasped and instantly took a step back, while the huge rat, at least ten feet tall and about as wide with fat, chuckled and straightened up.

"Molly..." Texas hissed. Of course. Who else could it have been? The weasel had hoped to not see, or smell, the rat for a while after her last defeat, but it seemed that she had dragged herself up out of her lair much more quickly than Texas had anticipated.

"Hello, weasel..." The huge rat hissed, advancing the half-step that Texas had taken backwards, and letting her oppressive odour wash over Texas. As always, the rat bore a general miasma all around her, smelling like she bathed in a mixture of sweat and raw sewage. "You shouldn't be walking these streets all alone..." She chuckled in her unnerving, chittering manner, "Haven't you heard? It's dangerous at night..."

Texas, her blood running cold, glanced behind her. The end of the alleyway wasn't too far, but Molly had her pack of rat mooks and her own voodoo powers to try and stop her. On the other hand, Molly wasn't a particularly good fighter, though she was tricky. While in the dark she seemed to be able to move impossibly quickly, or sometimes seeming like she even teleported around, and there was still her magic to contend with, as well as her aura of stench. If Texas did fight her, she would need to fight smart.

What's The Plan, Tex?
