Interrupted

“Ow, ow, ow.” An unknown male voice comes from the bushes. Everybody draws their respective weapons and witnesses a young human man with messy brown hair comes limping through the bush. “Reinforcements have arrived.” He says in a worn-out voice before flopping to the ground. He is covered in thorns from the bushes and looks to wear an iron chestplate atop simple leather armor. He wields a short sword currently covered in blood.

He looks to be a bronze rank fighter just like me. I kinda thought our backup would be at least silver.

Behind him you see a human mage who looks to be a similar age. She wields a wooden staff that she is currently using as a walking stick. Her blue and white robes have been slightly torn, likely by combat. Her medium length black hair is currently concealed by a floppy looking wizard’s hat, and her lavender eyes look very tired. She remains standing and gives a weak wave towards the party. A silver adventurer’s badge around her neck labels her as a cryomancer, someone who specializes in ice magic. You step up to address them.

“I didnae get any exact numbers but, weren’t there supposed to be a few more of ya?”

“There were.” The fighter says muffled as he speaks into the grass. “We had four but those other two idiots got themselves captured.”

“What did ya do, try and take on the camp alone?”

“Um, close yeah.” The mage says meekly. The fighter elaborates.

“We were on our way up the road when we spotted a patrol of twelve orcs. Suddenly our cleric wanted to fight them and charged ahead.”

“Cleric?” Petra questions. “We were always told to stay back and provide support.” The fighter looks up from the dirt.

“Yeah, she doesn’t do any supporting let alone healing. It’s all smite this, and smite that with her. Honestly to think Kayo earned silver before me. Ridiculous.”

“Who was the fourth?” Bax asks curiously.

“Huh? Oh, Lilly right! Well naturally the druid ran in after the cleric. Though since her only combat animal form is a panda because they’re quote “cute,” she got demolished. Frosty and I tried to jump in and salvage it but ended up having to flee.”

“Darren, I have a name you jerk!” she says jabbing the fighter with her staff.

“OOF, not like anyone could remember the whole thing.” He says miserably.

“What is your name then?” Bax asks still curious about the new party.

“It’s Friscilla Ellia Vercest the second! Lady of ice and maiden of the four winds!” she says standing proudly.

“Yup we’ll just call you Frost.” Bax says with a smug expression.

“HEY!” she protests but the conversation is hijacked by Petra.

“If you guys stay put, I can heal some of your wounds. The others can handle the planning.”

“A cleric who heals!” Darren says gasping from the ground. “Oh, bless your kind heart. Start with me please.”

Darren and Frost fight over who gets healed first as you turn to the orc encampment. How should you approach weakening the camp?
