Chapter 18 by korook korook

Which Policy do you look at?

Injuries and other medical issues

This one should go without saying, but fighters may not seriously injure each other. Bruises, cuts, scrapes, and the occasional nosebleed or mild concussion are expected. Broken bones, serious lacerations, and severe head trauma (for example) are not. This is why we stock plastic baseball bats and collapsible tables instead of the real deal.

If you suspect you might have been hurt in the ring—even if you think it’s probably nothing—come check with the ECL’s medical personnel. Sometimes injuries that don’t start out particularly serious can worsen over time, and in any case it’s better to be safe than sorry.

And obviously, routine STD testing and use of birth control is mandatory.
