Inglewood

You smile gleefully. The smell of street food wafts through the air as you approach the small town. The sounds of people and animals fill your ears and are a welcome distraction from the pain in your legs and a huge headache.

That is until you hear a rather shrill voice shout from across the road "Xara! It's good to see you again my child!"

A pudgy little man in religious robes shuffles as fast as he can up to Xara. They seem embarrassed, or uncomfortable. Either way you can't blame them "Father Lin, it- it's good to see you..."

"My child there is no need for formalities, please just call me Lin!"

This Lin guy seems way too comfortable around Xara you think to yourself. It must show on your face because Xara looks down sheepishly as Father Lin continues chattering.

"Oh but enough about me!" You finally hear Lin say "How have you been? And who's this large fellow?" You look down at Lin and tilt your head.

"I'm their partner" You say bluntly, you don't trust something about this man and he definitely doesn't deserve any details right now.

Lin looks questioningly at you and then back at Xara "Partner huh?"

Xara blushes and so do you. "That isn't how he meant it!" They say.

Lin sighs loudly, a little too loudly "Oh thank the beasts, I was afraid you abandoned my Sharrod for someone more suited to your way of life!"

As soon as the word Sharrod leaves Lin's mouth, you notice an instant change in Xara's demeanour. They seem sad, or maybe just mildly upset.

You walk over to Xara and grab them by the shoulders "Well, Lin, I'm afraid that Xara and I have a bounty to turn in, it was wonderful to meet you and see you again and all that!"

Lin looks distastefully at you and straightens a tie around his fat neck "It's Father Lin to you stranger."

You smile mockingly and start backing away "And it's Dillon to you father!"
