In the Mind of a Dragon.

Izzy's POV~

My first memory is a black void, it was just me for what felt like a long time, but then one day I saw a floating spirit appear in the space. When I went over to check it, my spirit seemed to meld with the other one, and suddenly the void was gone. I felt really warm and comfortable, it was really nice, like this was where I was meant to be. After some time in that warmth I felt myself and my location change once more. I was in a Egg, and I now had a body, a small one but if I had really taken form it would mean I would hatch soon... right?
While I couldn't say that the next 13 years were entirely pleasant, there was parts of it that made the process worth it. I couldn't see much outside of the egg but shadows, and sometimes a Hand pressing against it, filling my egg with Mana that allowed me to grow, and hearing a voice. Outside of that contact, it was really lonely in the egg, so I grew to love hearing that voice. It would always tell me that it can't wait for me to hatch, and that it hopes I will be strong, and that it can't wait to go on a journey with me. Sometimes it would tell me stories about what had happened that day. There were times where the voice had seemed sad, it would pick up my egg and hold me close to it, which made me sad to, I wanted nothing more then to comfort the voice but I couldn't do anything. After a while I felt a deep connection form with the voice, or whatever was speaking to be exact. I felt empowered by it, it felt Warm, it felt like what I imagine Home feels like judging by the stories the voice tells me.
Then, finally, at the end of those 13 years, I felt the egg that I had called home start to crack apart, I was finally going to be free.
As I lay on the cold floor I hear the voice and turn to see a human. The human picks me up and holds me close, making me feel a overwhelming sense of calm and happiness, until he puts me down again to put on what I later found out are clothes. Apparently people have to wear clothes before leaving their homes, and there is a thing called Armor that gives them the same kind of protection that my scales give me. The Human, who I would learn is named Darius, was the first person to ever call me by my name, and even gave me a nickname, which I happily accepted. The other humans were really annoying at first, they yelled when they saw me and were freaking out, thankfully that didn't last long, but it took a while for them to get used to seeing me it seemed.

Something I learned quickly, Dragons grow very fast, thanks to the amount of Mana I consume from Darius and the delicious food he gives me, I am almost a adult dragon in only a few months out of the egg. The training is tough, since all I want to do is cuddle with him and eat good food, but since he wants me to be strong so we can go on this journey thing, I guess I have to train.
Sometimes I get very jealous of the other humans, who I now know to be named Mila and Freya. They seem to have a really close relationship with Darius and do things with him that I am not allowed to do. When him and Mila go to that pretty place in the forest, I have to just sit near by and watch them mate... I want to mate with Darius to... but that's apparently something only Mila is allowed to do. Mila says that Dragons can't mate with Humans, so unless I become Human, Darius won't ever mate with me. I want to be human so bad, I want to Mate with Darius, I want to Kiss Darius, I want do everything they do with him...
I always feel his emotions, I feel when he is Happy, when he is Sad, and even more so when he is filled with Lust. When he feels those things so do I, but I can't do much about it. What hurts the most is that none of that Lust he feels is towards me... I know he loves and cares about me deeply, but sometimes that's not enough.

And now I see that Freya is also allowed to Mate with him apparently, so Mila lied to me.
