As Nick begins to slip in & out of consciousness, his mind races to ascertain the truth of what just happened:

I guess that I've been fascinated by vampires since I was little. As I became a teenager I started to find vampires sexy, to the point that I started fantasizing about vampires, falling in love with a vampire, even toying around with the idea of becoming one...
