Chapter 54 by GreenishNightLight GreenishNightLight

Krvavy has had an eventful day, but it is still far from over.

Important Announcement

(2023/3/24)

Hello everyone, I have an important announcement to make: I will no longer be posting daily chapters. (I am probably going to ramble on a bit, so I'll make the most important stuff bold to make skimming through it easier)

This isn't bad news or anything, as it is simply because I have finally caught up to what I have written (kind of, I have another chapter that I just need to finish and should be able to edit and get out for tomorrow).

Nothing has really changed beyond that, so I am still going to be writing this story, just at a slightly slower pace. I have no idea how long it'll take me to get chapters out from this point on though, so I am not going to set a schedule or anything. That said, I should be able to get out at least a single chapter each week (probably more than that to be honest) but no promises. Some chapters do take longer to write than others, and creating the various sheets/images also times time, so there won't be much consistency in how long it takes to get a chapter out.

For context, I started actually writing this story on Jan 1st, and while I don't remember what point I was at when I started putting it here on chyoa I'm pretty sure it was around the time Beryl was introduced. In other words, I wrote around 30-40 chapters in just over a month and a half, though I also had more free time at the beginning of the year so definitely don't expect me to keep up that pace.

But there is a silver lining to this: comments and suggestions matter more now.

Before I didn't really want to take suggestions because I already had a lot written out, and a small change could have meant that I would need to do a lot of rewriting. But now that isn't a problem because I will be actively writing the story. That said, I still cannot guarantee that I will follow any suggestions.

I do still have a general idea on where the story is going, but the entire thing isn't fully set in stone. Rather than a defined storyline to follow, I essentially have various 'checkpoints' that I want to reach but the paths towards them are a lot more open to change. In other words, I want certain things to happen but the ways that they happen is less important to me. As such, there are some things that I probably won't change, no matter how good an idea there is.

A perfect example of this would be the fact that long before I even picked a name for Krvavy I had already decided on the consequences that she would face for dying. It was always intended to trap her, as I am admittedly not the best writer and that was the easiest way to get a character who can learn about the world at the same rate as the reader. That is also why I made her life outside of the game so exaggeratedly terrible, as that lessens how severe it is (she didn't really have a life to lose).

But that also meant that any comments about the consequences wouldn't change them, because it was such a significant event for the story and changing it would change how the rest of the story would develop. That is a shame though, because on chapter 46 Thisistyping123 made some amazing guesses that I actually really liked, as they could have led to some real cool stuff if the story went in that direction.

Luckily not all of the things that I have planned are so significant or unyielding as **** is, and those that are further off could be more easily altered if an idea resonates with me. So I may be more willing to take long-term suggestions.

And I should probably point out that suggestions for characters are kind of welcome. I already have two fully fleshed out characters, two semi-fleshed out characters, and a small list of others that are basically just ideas right now. It will take quite some time before the two characters I have already made will be introduced, and any suggested characters will have to get in line behind them. As such, it will take a long time before any suggested characters could even be introduced into the story at this point, and that is if I decide to add them in the first place.

It would probably be best if character suggestions are kept vague as well (such as Thea being described as a bratty noble girl), as I may decide to 'cannibalize' your suggestion (adding aspects of it onto a character I already have lined up). Or I might already have a character that fits the suggested archetype and decide to introduce them a little bit earlier.

Also, these characters would have to make sense in the context of the story, which means that Krvavy has to be attracted to them. And with how I've written her so far, that means no males, femboys, or really anything else with a dick. Krvavy clearly has a thing for breeding (or the idea of breeding) and she is rather possessive, so she'll be the only dick in her harem.

And finally, because this announcement is quickly becoming far longer than I expected it to be, I'd like to thank everyone who has read my story. I hope that you've enjoyed it and will continue to enjoy what I'm writing.
