If you got it, flaunt it

Annie was still getting used to have her entire body on display without as much as a fig leap to cover it. The thought of displaying her body at a party just made her ill. And yet the way David kept looking at her made it hard for her to say no.

Do I really want to do this? she asked herself.

Of course not, she answered.

And yet...

Once she made it official tomorrow, she would have ****. Annie already saw a future of endless parties in which she -- and perhaps a few others -- were the only ones naked. The thought of it made her shiver and yet she could not find it in her to say no.

Then Irene came back from the ladies' room with her shoes and her purse.

"Here," she said, handing Annie the two items. "You're probably going to need these."

Annie immediately fought the impulse to use the purse and shoes to cover herself. It would do no good, she told herself. The minute she got up, they would still see all the body parts she could not cover, including her behind. In fact, her behind was destined to be on public display for the rest of her days. And yet...

"So what did you do with the rest of my clothes?" Annie asked Irene.

"Oh, I gave them to a waitress," said Irene. "I figured it was better to recycle them than to throw them out for good. At least this way someone will get some use out of them."

Someone other than me, thought Annie.

Already Annie missed her skirt. And her blouse. And her bra. And most definitely her underpants. For some reason, she thought the whole ordeal would be more bearable if she could just be allowed a pair of underpants, no matter how small.

Then Irene glanced at her watch and said, "Well, if we're going to make that party, we probably need to be going now."

As Irene stood up to go, Annie reluctantly stood up to go as well, As she did so, she noticed that her sister-in-law now seemed taller than Annie, something Annie had never noticed about her in the past.

Of course she is taller now, thought Annie. She's wearing heels now and I'm still barefoot.

Yet when Annie put on her heels, Irene still seemed taller.

She glanced one more time at David and started to say something.

But then David briskly walked away so Annie saw no other choice but to swallow her words and meekly follow him.

Meanwhile, Irene glanced at the two of them and enjoyed a quick smile before quickly adopting a neutral expression on her face and then following the two of them out the front door.
