Chapter 14
by alphakennyone
What happens when I wake up?
I find Dr. Holden and my sister Sasha at the side of the bed awaiting my awakening.
I open my eyes letting light into the dark surroundings of my eyelids. I find the same room surrounding me. Wires lining every corner of the room, some with lights and some without. I wake up looking up into the ceiling which is the same color and texture as it was before I went under the influence of a gas that make you sleep. The breathing apparatus is still over my mouth and nose but instead of pumping in sleeping gas, it pumps nothing since it's been turned off. I then see a gloved hand wrapped in medical-grade latex rubber. The hand, which is a left hand because the thumb points towards the wall behind me, grasps the breathing apparatus and with some help with the right hand, takes the clear plastic off of my face. By doing that, I'm freed to breath the air pumped into the room by the air conditioning system.
I look towards my left and find two figures standing. One is hunched over and the other stand upright, but in a posed way. Once my vision clears from fogged-up window to crystal, I right away recognize the two figures standing beside the bed I'm laying on. On the left, hunched over, is Dr. Holden with his familiar glasses adorned over his eyes and resting on his nose and ears. His appearance looks much like his appearance before I fell asleep and went into that unusual dream. He is hunched over because he is currently taking off the rest of the apparatuses on my head, including the one that inserting those memories into my head.
The second figure is roughly familiar. This is because I haven't seen her in five years. Standing in a position with her arms folded in front of her busty chest, my sister Sasha has a determined look on her face. I don't really know why, but I can tell that she is looking at me determined because she knows that I, as well as her, has a strong willpower.
"Hey there, Marianne," she says once the unusual apparatus is taken off by Dr. Holden. I then push myself off the bed without breaking the stare between my eyes and Sasha's. All of a sudden, with a burst of energy, I push off the bed and embrace my arms around Sasha, who in turn is surprised but embraces me anyways. This is the first time I have seen her in five years, maybe more.
[Hello, there. This is the guy mind speaking of the nonexistent Allen. I know I'm not here because I've been erased by Mr. Luke Holden over here. Even though I'm no more, I choose to be here because I still have some control in this story, yet I cannot control the other characters. I also am somewhat something that nobody can see or hear, less know that I am present. I choose to be here because I want to point out things that are not so obvious to some people. Mainly, I choose to narrate some of the parts that Marianne or any other character cannot see or know about. Label me as a ghost, accompanying spirit, or an imaginary friend. Instead, I'm not friend with anybody. Well, if you forget, I will be entering with brackets. Don't forget the brackets. Lastly, I choose to be here because there are some things that are different, especially in this embracing scene with Marianne and Sasha. In this scene, you may be wondering why Marianne is hugging Sasha like she hasn't seen Sasha in a very long time. I will offer you the not-so-obvious.]
[You may remember, this young woman's body seeing Sasha earlier. This memory is not in the current mind of Marianne. What she remembers is similar, but with no Sasha entering. Sasha, and yes this current Sasha is the same as earlier, except Luke, the doctor, tells her everything. He tells her that Marianne is Sasha's little sister and also tells her that Marianne, upon waking and seeing Sasha, will probably be hugging her and crying about now. If you would like to hear more of me stating the obvious, yet not obvious to you, enter Allen's realm. If not, continue with the story and don't mind me interrupting for two paragraphs.]
Continuing to hug Sasha with my arms, I say, muffled, "I'm so glad to see you, Sasha."
[Hello, again. Just to state the expressions of other beings in the room. Right now, Marianne, being two inches shorter than Sasha, can't see anything that Sasha and Luke are expressing with their faces because her face is embedded in Sasha's gut. Luke eyes Sasha to tell her everything that he told her to say. Luke tells her while Marianne in under the influence by the sleeping gas. Luke tells her to act like an older sister and to also as nurturing and comforting as a mother. Sasha on the other hand resists to say it but gives up trying to reason with Luke. She eyes him to let Marianne go upstairs to reflect alone while she and Luke try to work things out by themselves.]
Sasha places a hand on my soft silky hair and runs it down the back of my head to comfort me as I embed my face into her chest, not minding her large breasts protruding out and somewhat embracing my head as well. She tells me, "I'm so glad to see you too, Marianne."
Sasha pushes me off of her gently and not knowing how I feel right now, Dr. Holden interrupts us by saying that he needs to speak to my sister. I can't say that all doctors are like that. What I can say is that some doctors are all caught up in their work. Dr. Holden tells me that I can go upstairs and rest for a little bit more while he and Sasha works out something I don't really know about. I obey and exit the room sulking the whole way upstairs and into the room that the doctor lent me. Once back in my room, I sit on the bed, and later laying upon it. I wait, awake and not being able to enter into a nap, for what seemed like an hour.
[Marianne waits for an hour because the thing that Sasha and Luke Holden talks about last about that long. Actually, Marianne memory-wipe-and-replacement last for as long as an hour as well. You could probably guess what kind of thing is happening between Dr. Holden and Sasha. They are indeed giving Sasha a memory-replacement, similar to Marianne's, but in Sasha point-of-view. One memory included in the replacement is Sasha calling Marianne minutes after she arrived in Florida. If you don't know, Marianne traveled from London to America to start a new life. More can be mentioned in "Allen's Realm."]
