How do I invite you then?

"Well, that's easy, I can just invite you along, right?" I smiled.

"Yeah, It would be nice, but... uhm..." She handed me the notebook. 'Try writing my name. You'll see."

I took the pen and eagerly wrote an invitation to Eris, inviting her to come with me to the judgement.

I tore off the sheet and handed it to her triumphantly.

"See, problem solved!" I grinned.

"I don't really want to know about your party thanks..." Eris sighed, crumpling the flier and dropping it to the ground. "I've got other things to do with my time."

I looked down at the ground and picked up the now pink piece of paper. I unfolded it to see it now resembled a college flier that would have been put up in the early nineties for a party. Cut out pictures, all put together on a copy machine and printed out on the loudest paper available.

"That wasn't... that wasn't what I handed you." I turned the paper over in my hand, and it remained the pink flier.

"I know it wasn't, but it's what I got." Eris shrugged. "If you try it again, it'll just be something else I don't want. You can't invite me. Not consciously. I mean, you did your best, really. This was... a wonderful date."

I flushed as I stood there staring at her, her smile was radiant, and she retrieved the notebook and pen from me, stuffing them back into her bag, before continuing to randomly juggle the apple around in her hand.

"I mean, I got to watch a great show, had a terrific casual breakfast, met up with one of my friends for a little bit, Got in a fight, WON a fight, I want to point out, got high, Saw some great stand up, watched a guy I think is pretty hot nail a virgin, got to play a little first person shooter, got a HERO moment, got to see some drama, watched a bad copy of me EXPLODE, committed blasphemy in at least four religions... hang on..."

Eris pulled her pistol and shot a guy walking on the road in an orange robe with a nametag that read "Buddha".

"FIVE religions... Although I think that might have been what I was supposed to do, anyway, got to have legal drama that I WON, again, Told my Stepfather to go fuck himself and wiped one of the songs I hate most in the universe from existence, all to the sounds of Punk Rock Girl."

She spread her arms and wings wide and spun happily, causing her split skirt to twirl revealing the expanse of her legs.

"BEST... DATE... EVER!" She cheered happily.
