Crono silently walks up to the house and knocks on the door. It quickly swings open, catching Crono off-guard. He makes an anime-silly face as an old man pokes his head out.

"Dammit, you lowly vagrant, if you come near me I shalll...oh. You're not the creepy old vagrant. Who are you, and what do you want?" Crono starts to answer, but the old man cuts him off. "Thou art a friend of his, are you not?" Crono nods. "I might have known. He is not here, thank the stars. If thou art seeking him, i suggest that thou cease forthwith. He is a dangerous fiend! He even had the gall to claim he was once a knight in the queen's service. Treasonous!" The old man slams the door in Crono's face. He turn and looks at the hotel to see that Marle and Lucca are only just now going in.

"Sorry," Marle says sweetly. "But if he'd been there, we couldv'e saved a trip inside here. But it seems he's not, so in we go!" The girls walk in, leaving Crono to decide what to do now.
