I expect your next question is ‘What is the Facility and what is a Subject?’ The Proctors each explain this in their own way, but I liken it to a last chance. A home for wayward girls.”

“Wayward girls?” Katelyn said indignantly. “I’m a grown-ass woman!”

“A ‘grown-ass woman’ you say? Wouldn’t you agree that such a woman could handle herself much better than you have?” The woman paused for Katelyn to answer, but the silence spoke volumes. “Exactly. As I said during your initiation, you were sponsored for the Facility because your life was collapsing all around you. You lost your internship, your college prospects, your apartment, and your dignity. Those aren’t the actions or the outcomes of a ‘grown-ass woman’, but a girl who needs a firm hand.”

“Like yours?”

“Among others. I’ll be your lead Proctor during your training, but it is a group effort.”

“Group effort to do what? What training?”

“You need someone to make the right decisions for you, and you need someone to meet your needs. We will train you to accept that discipline and to provide services of your own.”

“That sounds like a sex ****.”

“Sex **** implies that you are being used parasitically. Consider your internship. You provided services and in exchange, they provided experiences that you could not get anywhere else.”

“It’s NOT the same!” Katelyn said, stamping her feet. Bound up like this it was all she could do.

“Of course it is. We asked you in Initiation and you agreed - when Ms. Stanley threatened to terminate your internship, you offered yourself sexually to a co-worker to avoid it. See for yourself.” The woman flipped the tablet around to show Katelyn. It was video from Ms. Stanley’s office all those months ago.

“-In an effort to teach her some discipline I told her she could become my pet for as long as it takes-”

“-“Please, don’t make her send that email. I’ve already promised her that I’ll do whatever she asks.-”

Katelyn re-lived the humiliation as she watched herself strip and bend over the desk, fully ready to let that man fuck her.

The woman turned the tablet back and stopped the video. “In fact, it was that scene in Ms. Stanley’s office that convinced her you were right for us.”
