Eddie somehow found himself in front of his computer, checking through his e-mails.

There were very few people online at that time, including a pesky cousin of his whom Eddie dubbed as a very sore loser for losing an Internet Checkers game twice and still hankering for a rematch. Eddie played the game initially just to shut him up, but he became even more annoying and was getting on his nerves- fast. Eddie gave a light yawn. He was tired and bored and his annoying cousin was not really keeping his interest to stay online any longer, as another longer yawn followed through.

Eddie decided that it would be better for him to just sign out and go back to bed. “Maybe I’ll dream of something nice,” he thought hopefully. Just as he was about to click the “Sign Out” button, a name popped up online and it made Eddie’s heart leap. Feeling his hear leap, a smile crept on his face for the first time in a long time, and with a sweet smile intact, Eddie went against his plan of signing out and decided to say hi to her. It was definitely a surprise, a very pleasant surprise.
