Chapter 7 by hambo hambo

Where does she go first?

Hilda goes to a fortune teller

"Welcome honored guest!" Says a veiled woman sitting in one of the booths.

"Um, hi," Hilda says as the two make eye contact.

"I sense in you many questions," the Gypsy-looking woman says in a thick accent as she plays with a deck of strange cards. She's an older woman, maybe in her late 40s. "...About your past... your present... your future..."

Hilda giggles girlishly, a striking contrast to her warrior appearance. "You're a fortune teller!"

The woman smiles back. "Want to know your future? I normally charge 3 silver, but because I like you, 1 coin."

"Sure!" Hilda grins like a dope and hands her a coin, failing to realize she's given her a gold instead of silver.

The fortune teller starts shuffling a deck of strange cards, briefly tugging on her ear to signal to her accomplices that she's got an easy mark on her hands. Two carnival workers signal back and start walking towards Hilda.

"How many cards should I draw?" The fortune teller asks.

"Um... five, I guess? Is that a lot?" Hilda asks as she takes her helmet off and sets it on the table.

The gypsy smiles wide, happy that she'll get five chances to enchant and steal from this gullible dope. "That sounds perfect," she says as she deals the first card.

What is it?
