Hideaway!

"Hideaway! Oh, you are gonna love this place. Have you gone?" Kelly's eyes lit up with the anticipation.

"I heard about it. Never went." Sandy actually had avoided the club scene after parties in the past. Usually she had been burned out enough during the day that all she had wanted to do was go back to the hotel and sleep.

"Oh, it's so cool." Kelly laughed as they exited the main building along with the throngs of convention attendees. The Cabs lined up at the curb were doing a brisk business, but Kelly convinced Sandy that it was only a few blocks to walk, and after all, they did have time.

Eventually, Kelly walked the two of them down to a small side street, where an inconspicuous door with only a small plaque on it was visible. Smirking, she pushed the door open to reveal what looked like a small office. A man sat at the desk, idly clicking at what looked to be a spreadsheet.

"Yes, can I help you?" He asked pointedly, looking at the two women.

"We're looking for the Hideaway." Kelly spoke up brightly, staring at a bookcase on the far wall.

"Right." The man responded, reaching under the desk to press at something. In response, the bookshelf which Kelly had been staring at swung inwards, and the sounds of revelry could be heard within. "Go on in."

"That's it?" Sandy asked, as the two of them walked into the small corridor which led to the bar.

"That's it. Unless you don't know the password, in which case they make you do a trick." She pointed to several overhead monitors which overhung the bar and showed the entrance.

"This is ridiculous." Sandy looked around the room. Against one side stood a traditional bar, but here and there were scattered small tables surrounding a dance floor where the standard modern sound of club music played.

"It's fun. Kind of a BigCon tradition." Kelly laughed. "And I owe you a beer for making me look good."
