Hide the woman, and climb through alone.

There is no way you are going to give this intriguing woman up without a fight. The mercenaries all carried chains with them, damn if you had those you could lock her to the stone trough and not have to hurry. Oh well, next time you sack a city you will be prepared. Dragging the woman behind the pile of straw you consider just waiting for more men to clear the streets. You are pretty sure they would insist you share this prize, or even just take her from you completely.

As you kick the dirty straw in frustration you get an idea. As you dig a shallow ditch in the bottom of the pile the woman stares at you in contempt. A sudden punch to her jaw drops her before she can say a word. It is a pity to bruise that face, but you need her still and quiet for this plan to work. A quick glance around the pile reveals three of the larger boys sneaking towards your location. When they see you looking at them the turn and flee back to the entrance of the alley.

This may work! You think as you cover the **** woman in a thick layer of old straw. Placing your shield near the top of the pile to help in the climb, you peek out again from behind the stack. Again when they see your head the boys step back out of sight. Taking off your helm you position it so it is just visible from the mouth of the alley. If the rats look in again they might think that you are watching them.

You let out a loud battle cry and hurl a loose cobble stone down the alley. Hopefully that will keep them from looking as you scramble up the manure pile. Standing on your shield you are able to slide your spear into the opening and start to pull yourself up. If you can get up into the building before they realize what you are doing you might just be able to unlock the large wooden doors before they realize the alley is empty and have a chance to find your prize.
