Hide!

Deciding against running away and drawing attention to yourself, you hide in the corner beside the dumpster, scared for your life. The footsteps were slow, and a whistle seemed to follow them. They were loud, making your chest pulse with each step.

Gradually, the person reaches the other side of the dumpster. You can hear them exhale and continue walking past it. The man walked past you, not even seeing you cower behind a bag of trash and the dumpster. He continues walking and whistling, completely unaware of your existence.

You stand up when he's out of view, letting out a sigh and catching your breath. You breathed in, then out, making your breathing less sporadic. You didn't feel comfortable in the alleyway, so you decided to walk in the opposite direction he went in, going past the revolting dumpster and down the creepy, dank alleyway.
