Gracie was expecting just about anyone in the school; the cheerleaders, some of the football team, just about any girl in the school... since she had come out as a lesbian, the bullying had been frustratingly frequent.

The last person she had been expecting to stuff her into a locker was herself.

She stood there frozen, staring at herself. The other Gracie's hands were on the front of the locker, frozen in the act of pushing the current Gracie inside. Within her right hand she held the time manipulation device. She was exactly the same in every detail. The face that Gracie stared at was exactly the same as the one she stared at each and every morning in the mirror. The eyes, the nose, the hair... everything. Even the body was identical; her left breast had two dark brown freckles on the side, her pubic hair was the same shape and texture as Gracie's own, even her toenails were cut to the same length.

Gracie was able to observe all of this because the other Gracie was completely stark naked. A few of the other students, also frozen in time, were staring at her with a mixture of amusement and shock. Keeping time frozen, Gracie pressed the Mind Control button and told everyone that they would forget what they'd seen here today. She hoped it would work, but if time being frozen somehow affected it then she told herself that she'd just fix it later.

With that done, Gracie grabbed her doppelganger around the torso and dragged her up the hallway and into one of the woodwork rooms. It was always empty first period, and there weren't any windows in the room, so it seemed a perfect place to have a little chat with her nude self. She unfroze time.

The other Gracie staggered forward, but quickly regained her balance. She turned and, without making an effort to cover herself, she broke into a grin. Gracie held the time device threateningly, ready to freeze time if her duplicate made any sudden moves.

"Hey me." the doppelganger said.

"Uh... hey."

"So you're wondering just what the hell is going on, right?"

"A little bit, yeah."

"Okay," nude Gracie said, taking a deep breath. "So in the future - not the far and distant future, just sometime this afternoon - I damage my device..." and she held it up so Gracie could see it "...and for some reason the only functions that work are forwards and backwards, yeah?"

"Yeah?" Gracie replied, unsure where this was going.

"Okay, well, I won't bore you with the details but I was nude at the time that it happened, and I suddenly found myself stranded naked in school without any way of escaping unnoticed. So, my choices were total and utter humiliation-"

"-or reversing time to when you last had a working device?" Gracie finished for her.

"Exactly. So I came back to this point in time because when I was you, a naked me from the future also tried to push me into my locker. I dragged her into this room and we had the exact same conversation that we're having now."

"That seems confusing."

"It is. Time travel, you know? Now, if you'll just give me your time device-"

"What?"

"Your time device." the nude Gracie repeated. "I just need to borrow it for a second, then I can go and grab some clothes while time is frozen. Then I'll tell you EXACTLY how I damaged it so that when you reach that point in your time, you WON'T damage it."

"I guess that makes sense..." Gracie said reluctantly.

For some reason, however, it didn't feel quite right. As Gracie pondered it, she wondered why her future self didn't simply rewind time to just before she damaged her own device. And what on earth was she doing naked in the middle of the school?
