Her coat

She takes off her coat because of her shame. The men ask, “So what d’ya wanna talk about?” Seeming better behaved. She looked at her coat on the ground. She looked back up. She goes on for a minute or two before losing them yet again. They start side talking and interrupting more and more. They say to her, “If you would just act like you even work here more than just two seconds maybe we’ll be treat you like you work here.” She looks away shedding a single tear, she used to be confident in her job. “Just look a little more appropriate for this workplace. Lose the shoes or leggings or whatever it is.” She does both and unbuttons another button. They hear the workers walking to the break room and turn their heads. They excuse themselves as if they were at home. She joins them for lunch and coffee.
