Her Place

“Wh...why don’t we go back to your place?” You stammer out, your voice cracking and making you wince.

Kathy doesn’t seem to notice though as a smile spreads across her lips.

“Always nice to know the old ways are still alive.”

And with that cryptic reply you find yourself being pulled out of the booth and out of the door.

It isn’t until you are halfway down the street that you realise you didn’t pay for the coffee.
