Her Car

Heather stood there, her naked body soaking wet, with her hair matted against her face. Apprehensively, she looked around the park. There was nobody about, so she reluctantly dropped her hands. Who would be out in weather like this after all? Looking across the parking lot she saw her BMW only a hundred feet away. Her car! All I have to do is find my keys and get into my car. I will be safe and dry, Heather thought to herself. Immediately she started looking around for her purse.

With the cold, torrential rain whipping around her she had a hard time seeing anything. However, after several minutes she found her purse. It was now soaked and ruined. She picked it up and could hear the clank of the car keys inside. Heather stood up and started towards her car. Despite herself, she smiled. She was naked, wet and tired, but it would all be over soon.

A moment later she heard a thunderous roar and crack behind her. Heather instinctively ducked. As she did, Heather watched as a huge branch went sailing across the parking lot and smashed into her BMW. The branch crashed into the window shield, shattering it. Before she could react, another branch sailed through the air and smacked into the driver’s side door leaving a huge dent.

With terror in her eyes, she dashed over to her car. It is not as bad as it looks she told herself, it can’t be. The safety glass of the windshield had cracked into thousands of shards making it nearly impossible to see through. Oh god, I am not going to be able to drive it, she thought to herself as she came up to the driver’s side door. She hit the unlock button on her key ring and nothing happened. She hit the button again and again nothing happened. ”I am naked, in the middle of a torrential downpour, soaked to the bone and I can’t get into my own damn car,” Heather yelled in frustration. “This can’t possible get any worse,” she muttered to herself.
