From the first glare, Conceus knew this woman must be a goddess. She was very beautiful, the kind of beauty that couldn't be found on mortals.

Leto couldn't search for a place where she could give birth to her twin for years until her sister Asteria transformed into a floating island to help her. The moment she stepped on this island, Leto went into labor. But the power of Hera still kept her from giving birth. The island moved in nine days and nine nights, to the border of the world where the authority of the Queen of Gods was weak.

After telling her story, Leto begged: "Please let me go into Land of Darkness. I feel that my children are about to come out. I think in the domain of the great Goddess of the Night, I can bring them to life."

Conceus shook his head: "Even if my mother agreed, you and your children will be imprisoned here forever."

Leto said: "Your name is Artemis." That's all she could say before falling into a coma.

Artemis shouted: "Mother, please wake up!"

Her worry was reasonable. Although gods were immortal, they still could be crippled forever. However, it looked like Leto lost her consciousness: she didn't open her eyes, though her face twisted in pain and her belly still contracted. The delivery was held for too long, the danger increased with each moment passed.

Artemis turned and kneeled in front of Conceus: "Please help us. I can do anything to pay back for you."

"Sorry, this is the only thing I can do."

Conceus touched her forehead, transferred the little remaining of his divine power to her, along with all of his knowledge about midwifery.

At the same time, his body began to disintegrate, start from his legs. Conceus hurriedly flew back to his mother's land.

From behind, he heard Artemis' cry of joy: "Thank you very much. May I know your name?"

"Conceus." That's the last word he could say before his throat and mouth disappeared. Fortunately, before his entire head faded away, he passed the border of Land of Darkness.

Artemis helped her mother to deliver. Not long after, a baby boy's cry could be heard. When Leto woke up, she said while holding him: "Your name is Apollo."

While her mother and brother were sleeping, Artemis walked to the border of the island. Looking at the Land of Darkness, she whispered: "I, Artemis, swear with the Styx river: Conceus will be my master. My body and soul belongs to him for eternity."
