Head to Your Car

You break into sprint. The dog like creature howls and begins loping toward the two of you. At first, your think you’ll have no problem reaching your car first. But, as it gallops toward you it is closing very fast.

You hop into the driver’s side and Christina hops into passenger seat. As you start the engine, the dog like creature arrives. It growls the deepest growl you have ever heard.

You floor the gas. The dog bites into your rear bumper. You drag the dog nearly three hundred meters, leaving a line of smoking pavement. Finally, something gives and you leave it behind.

You drive across town to Christina’s place. The two of you exit cautiously. You look at your back bumper. There is a large bite size chunk missing from it.

“Shit! How am I going to explain THAT to my insurance?”

“I’m not sure that’s our biggest problem. I’ve watched The Omen. That was some kind of Hellhound. They don’t give up.”

“Does the movie have a way to banish them?”

“Afraid not. Let’s regroup inside.”

You are about to open the door when you hear, ‘grrr’.

You turn to face the enormous dog. Part of thinks your are dead meat. Still deep within you, you feel a well of power.
