Head out to the lake

It's a warm summer day and light breeze is coming of the lake. This morning in your rush to leave for work, after sleeping on your friends couch last night, you never got a chance to shower so a nice dip in the lake sounds very refreshing.

You dig through your bag and find your black knee length swim trunks, you remove your work shirt, pants, socks and underwear and throw them on the pile in the corner. Slip on your trunks, grab a towel and head down to the water.

Some small waves are rolling into the shore and you can see a handful of boats on the lake. Some look like they are fishing, a few for a pleasure cruise and one boat with people water skiing behind it.

You slowly wade out until the water is almost to your knees, just getting use to it, you walkin in further, now thigh deep and stoping just before the water reaches your balls. You take a deep breath and dive forward, emercing yourself into the clear lake water. Going out deeper you stop and place your feet in the sandy bottom and stand up, water is now neck deep. You wipe some water from your eyes, face and your short brown hair.

You scan across the lake, watching the boats and few birds flying. You dip your head under and few more times, just to enjoy the fresh water.

You turn around and look back toward the shore. On the back deck of the neighbors house you she the neighbor, she was changed from her garden working clothes and into a yellow and blue flowered sun dress. Her bandana is gone from her hair and wide brimmed tan hat is now upon her head. Sitting on a chair under her umbrella. You wonder how long she has been out there or watching you.

A few more dips into the water and then you start heading towards the shore to grab your towel you placed on the dock. You look up towards the deck again, as more of your body emerges from the water, she sips from her glasses and gives you a little wave. You wave back and grab your towel to dry off.

You throw your towel around your neck and shoulders as you walk up from the little sand beach area and across then green lawn.
