He went to a nearby bar

Barnes walked across the atrium and headed out of the hotel; he found a bar, it was clean enough, dark enough, and busy but not crowded. All the tables and booths were filled, no seats were open at the bar, Barnes got the bartender's attention, ordered a drink, and people watched for a while. The bartender nodded and as Barnes slipped down from the seat he turned and started to make his way through the bar towards the restrooms, Barnes walked following the woman, making his way through the crowds and table in the bar, he reached the back and looked in the direction where he had seen her disappear. As he reached the back he saw her, she looked at him for a split second before she disappeared again around a corner, Barnes glanced around before following her.
