Chapter 7
by Leviathan
How do his other classes go?
He was too distracted to tell
"I-I'm so sorry for taking so long!" He bowed as he opened the massive sliding door to his class, although Mic seemed like he was just about to leave.
"Ah, if it isn't our Rescue Point specialist! It's all good, I got the note from your friend, and I've seen that Quirk of yours." As he passed by Midoriya's side, he lowered his voice a little. "Make sure to master it soon, okay? Your body will thank you." Just like that, he kept on swaggering towards the teachers' lounge, leaving the nervous boy alone in the middle of the hallway... at least, until Uraraka and Iida approached him.
"Deku-kun! How did those tests go? Was anything wrong?" She started, while the taller boy pushed his glasses up with his fingers. "Uraraka-kun told me about what happened. Hopefully it wasn't anything worrying."
There was. No. Fucking. Way. He was telling them what just happened back there. It was already mortifying telling the nurse about it, but people he would be seeing every day for the next five years... no chance in hell.
"A-ah, no, um, everything was fine, it was just some irregularities with my Quirkless physical traits, hahah..." This only seemed to excite them a little, though. Iida spoke next, while Uraraka seemed to beam next to him. "Let's talk about it over lunch, I've heard wonderful things about this school's cuisine."
"LUNCH RUSH IS THE SCHOOL COOK?!" Izuku could barely contain himself when he saw him in the distance, serving everyone with a little thumbs up and a presumable smile under that massive chef hat.
"Keep it down, Midoriya-kun. Yeah, I've heard rumors, but to see him in the flesh... I wonder if his cooking truly stands up to his reputation."
As they learned five minutes later, no, no it didn't. It easily surpassed it.
"Sho gooooood..." The green-haired boy had to wipe tears of joy from his face, and Uraraka was straight up crying over it. Iida was the most composed of the three, but even he looked shocked by the quality of his favorite dish.
"Oh right! My tests... well, I don't really know what to say about them. I used to be, er, not the most athletic person ever, but ever since today, it's like my body functions like a high-end athlete even without using my Quirk at all!"
Uraraka wiped the tears from her face with her sleeve, blinking a little before answering. "Wow, really? Is it a weird side effect from your Quirk? You don't really look like you're super strong or fast, I bet a lot of villains are going to underestimate you." The blue-haired student in front of her could only agree. "Yeah, no one will expect someone your size to punch like a boxing champion, and your Quirk only makes that surprise even worse. I'll have to make sure I catch up to you, after all."
As he opened his mouth to reply, a splitting headache assaulted his brain for the briefest of moments, completely throwing off his train of thought. "Ugh-!" His hand clutched his face reflexively, but just as soon as it came, the pain faded away.
"W-wow, Deku-kun, how did you see that coming?" He heard Uraraka say next to him.
"What?"
His head turned, noticing just now that his other hand had shot towards his side to catch a metal spoon heading his way. A mocking voice soon followed, which gave him a hunch as to who just threw that at him. "Huuuh? So the star kid also has good reflexes, huh? It's to be expected of Class 1A after all, huh?"
It was a blonde girl dressed in semi-formal clothes, twirling a fork between her fingers. She looked caught up between haughtiness and frustration - did she want to hit him to prove a point or something? Who even was this?
"But where are my manners? I'm Monoma Neiko, Class 1B of the Hero Course. Now, whose names should I write into my book of grudges today?" She... seemed to be asking for their names, in a strange way. Each of the three students gave theirs to her, not really caring about her hostility. "Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida it is. Next time we meet, it shall be in the battlefield. Prepare to have all of the staff, nay, the country reevaluate which class is superior here! AHAHAHAHAH-!"
Her laughter was short lived - a chop to the nape dropped her **** in an instant. The chopper, a redhead in a dress and jacket, grabbed her classmate by the shirt before she could hit the ground, sighing in annoyance. "Seriously... sorry, 1A. As class president of 1B, we have nothing against you, it's just Neiko being a weirdo about you guys from day one. I'm Kendo, by the way. Itsuka Kendo."
Besides some quick introductions, they didn't get to talk much, as soon enough the bell that signaled the end of lunch time rang. Even after so much happening that day, Izuku's mind was still focused on these changes happening to him, and his final class for the day went by without him even noticing. Just how did he catch that spoon without even knowing it was coming? What was that headache? How was his body so powerful despite looking so normal? And... just how would he deal with his new endowment?
'I should at least ask Iida-kun for his notes when we get back.'
What's next?
