He lays out the plan to get close to Grishnikov

After Natalya and Nigel dressed, Nigel explained the plan to get close to Grishnikov. He was attending a fancy ball in London where he was expected to make a sizable donation to a charity. There would be dinner and dancing and presumably plenty of opportunities for Natalya to get close to him. The obstacle would be Grishnikov’s wife, Irina, who would be alarmed if Natalya got too close to her husband. Natalya was to devise some sort of distraction for Irina, or otherwise get Grishnikov alone. Nigel suggested that Natalya meet him on the balcony, the smoking section. “Grishnikov is a chain smoker and he will no doubt be nearly alone on the balcony a few times during the evening. That would be a perfect time to introduce yourself. Make sure to emphasize your skating background.” Nigel then explained how he was going to get her into the ball, as it was a private and exclusive event. “Because figure skaters are not big enough celebrities, nor are they rich enough, to attend such events, you will be going as the plus one of Anne, who will be posing as a wealthy baroness. We’ll be forging her identification and her story and everything, but you, Natalya, will be playing yourself.” Natalya was excited to be attending a ball and felt like she was in a James Bond movie. She knew just the dress she would wear—a red dress that tightly hugged her chest and showed off her creamy muscular thighs, and highlighted her ass. “Grishnikov is an ass man.
