"Dude, seriously it's not that big of a deal. But it was always obvious that you two were made for each other. So as the years went by without the two of you hooking up we started betting. I think the pot is like three thousand now."

You look at Tommy, "Who is still in?"

"That's a secret. But if you want to do me a big favor...hook up this week."

"Oh, my God. Yo have got to be...this is too much." You say, a little actual anger in you voice.

Tommy picks up on it, "Look, we never meant anything bad. It was going to happen. Not one person picked Never. Not one. It's happening. And if you could do me a huge solid, I'd like it sometime this year. And since I don't know if you are going to come back anytime this year...I'd like it this week. I'd much appreciate it."

You are relieved to see Janine coming back with the first load of food, including yours. Janine smiles at you, "Here you go. The next batch should be out in a bit."

Tommy thanks Janine, "By the way, is Kate working the amusement park today?"

"Thinking of bringing Jeremy there? Yeah she should be working until four today, that way she can drive home herself."

You vaguely remember Tommy and Janine's youngest sister, Kathryn. You remember that she had night blindness and literally could not see at night.

Tommy nods as he digs into the salad Janine had started him off with, "Good, good. And yeah, I'm bringing Jeremy there, and John is taking Courtney."

Janine smiles, "That's sweet. I better get back to your haul before the next batch gets cold."

You sigh at your friend, and start take a bite of your pizza burger.
