He is about to find out

As Nathan stepped off of the bus, he was surprised to find his sister waiting for him. Usually she had already made her way off to find her group of friends, but judging by the look on her face she was not happy. As he walked the short distance to catch up with her, she turned to Rebecca, whispered something in her ear, causing her to respond with a shrug and set off on her own.

"Strange to see you waiting for me sis! Look about blaming you for the thing on the bus-" he was cut short by Phoebe sharply interrupting him.

"Nate could you come with me for a few minutes, we have something to discuss" she said, making it clear that this was not a request, but an order. Nathan muttered his consent and let his sister lead the way. He was surprised by the speed at which she was speed walking, which worried him on account of his past experiences with her. When she was pissed off she walked quickly, slammed doors and generally acted with more **** than was necessary, but for the life of him he could not guess what it was that had upset her.

They rounded the corner of the playing fields, past the bike shed where the chavs tended to congregate, and over to the back of the sports equipment shed. As they reached the back of the most secluded part of the college, Phoebe came to a sudden halt, grabbing ahold of Nathans jacket collar and swung him around to face her.

"What the bloody hell do you think you are doing you idiot! You think going around announcing that you have powers is just perfectly fine!" she interrogated him in an angry but hushed voice, "You know what happens if word gets out that we have powers? Our lives will be destroyed you fucking mong! People will want to put us in facilities to study us, our rights will be waived and we will be imprisoned! You think the authorities will be fine with us walking around freely PARTICULARLY you with your mind powers?! You think they won't want that for themselves?!" she continued, shaking him violently.

Nathans blood cooled at that prospect, realising that his sister spoke the truth. If he was found out, he could be subject to all sorts of **** and experimentation. "OW OW OK GET OFF" he shouted in protest "I GET IT OK!"

"Keep your voice down nate!" she whispered urgently at him, releasing her grip on him "Jesus you are such a child. You want all of college to hear us?"

"No I don't ok, and yes you are right, I promise to shut up about my powers" he apologised

Phoebe's hand suddenly shot out striking the back of his head with her palm. Nathan let out a short yelp "Will you let up a bit sis! What did I do to deserve this new bit of ****!" he rubbed the back of his head

"That was on behalf of Lauren you pig. I saw you use your power on her somehow, just because you have the power does not mean you need to use it. Have you considered how she might of felt with you meddling with their mind like that? How I might have felt? It's a massive intrusion on people's privacy, do you understand me Nate?"

"..... sorry" Nate responded, realising the implications of his actions. "I didn't think about that at the time"

"It's not me you need to be apologising to Nate. Find Lauren later on today, take her somewhere secluded so that people don't hear you, and apologise to her properly." she demanded

He nodded and in acceptance, feeling properly humbled. He really did need to learn some discretion he thought, vowing to better himself. He opened his mouth to respond to his sisters demand, however before he could actually verbalise his promise, a movement in the corner of his eye caught his attention. As he tilted his head to see past his sister, he saw that someone was stood at the side of the equipment shed and had been listening in on their conversation.

He pointed out to the figure to his sister, calling out to them to come closer, since the shade of the building obscured their features. The only discernible features were that the figure was female and nathan estimated that she stood at 5'5'' to 5'6'' but as the words left his mouth, the figure vanished into thin air.

They were not the only ones with powers.
