"Yeah. It's been a while for him, so he's feeling pretty bold you know? Like a slugger that's struck out a few too many times. That's probably why he went after you. Took a big risk going after the hottest girl in the block."

Diane stares you down, until you words sink in and it falls into a smile. "W-wait. You're saying... cuz he's **** he went after a girl he thinks he has no chance with?"

"Yep," you say. "You ask me that's Terry at his best."

You're not sure she bought it, and Terry would probably get pissed at you for being blunt... but you assume Diane isn't long term dating material. He wants fun. She probably does too. "Don't get the wrong idea. Terry's a good guy... buy what you said about Sadie? Same goes for him."
